ST MARKS PRIMARY SCHOOL VISIT MEMORY LANE
St Marks Primary School Choir recently came to the Arncliffe Centre to sing Christmas carols and songs for Knowsley Dementia Care – Memory Lane.
Joined by the Mayor of Halewood, Cllr Allan Harvey, members of Memory Lane and their carers enjoyed a wonderful afternoon’s sing along and once again, the young people from St Marks were a credit to themselves, their families and their school. Thank you to you all.
‘BEST EVER’ CHRISTMAS CONCERT
The ‘best ever’ was how one member of the audience described this years Christmas concert with the Brass Ensemble from the Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra held at Halewood Academy. Once again, the concert, showcased the tremendous
talent in the choirs from each of our Primary Schools, Halewood Academy and the Halewood community, ending with a well deserved standing ovation from the sell-out audience. Many congratulations to everyone that took part.
PENSIONERS’ CHRISTMAS DINNER
Once again this year, your Town Council were absolutely delighted to host its Annual Pensioners’ Christmas Party. Over 60 of our older residents came to the Arncliffe Centre to enjoy a traditional Christmas Dinner of roast turkey and all the trimmings, followed by a visit from Father Christmas.

BURST WATER MAIN
United Utilities have issued the following statement regarding the major leak on Cartbridge Lane today (31st March 2016) .
“We are currently fixing a major leak on Cartbridge Lane, L26 6LH, Halewood, following some damage caused by a third party.
“We will be using our water on wheels tankers to help maintain supplies by pumping water into the network but there is a risk that whilst we fix the leak, water supplies may be affected in L26/L27/L25 later today.
“We are advising that customers in those postcode areas start to store water in case the water does go off while we fix the leak.”
