Halewood Town Council is pleased to offer a community celebration grant fund to help the local community celebrate the Coronation of King Charles III.
Local groups, organisations and members of public organising events can apply for a grant of up to £150 towards their local celebrations.
Applications are open to community organisations, schools, residents’ associations or similar. We also welcome applications from non-constituted residents’ groups holding street parties or events in Halewood and from charities, business groups or civic societies holding community events.
Grants received can contribute towards making your event even more memorable. Whether this is for decorations, making the event accessible or simply items of food/drink to help share the cost of this national celebration.

About the application process
Applications will be assessed and prioritised based on the following criteria:
• How many Halewood residents will benefit from the event
• Inclusion of match funding of the event – details should be included in with your application
• Whether all documentation requested within the application was provided
• To ensure funding is distributed fairly across the Town
To receive funding for a street party or park event, you must receive permission, as required, to hold this event and for any associated road closures. Find out more information about holding a street party or park event, please see the below links:

For all street parties in the borough of Knowsley, please let Knowsley Council know by completing the Street Party notification form (by 10th April): Apply for a Street Party Licence in Knowsley
After You Have Applied for a Grant
You will receive an acknowledgement email once we receive your application, and you will be notified within one week if your application has been successful.
The council’s decision is final and there will be no right of appeal. While this funding is a grant and not a loan, the council reserves the right to request the funds be returned if the event you planned does not proceed for any reason.
