Annual Town Meeting – Postponement
As noted in the meeting of the council held on 17th June, the proposed ‘Annual Town Meeting’ set for 15th July is to be postponed. This is because the continuation of current Covid-19 guidelines through to 19th July limits the numbers of persons able to attend indoor events or meetings. Holding the town meeting under current guidance would have required a process of ticketing for the small number of persons able to attend, and this would clearly be inappropriate and unfair.
The town meeting will be scheduled for a future date when the largest possible number of residents is able to attend, we hope this will be possible before mid-September.
