In addition, from 8 August 2020, face coverings will also be mandatory if you visit:
- funeral directors
- premises providing professional, legal or financial services

Disposable or washable face coverings are now widely available to buy or you can cover your nose and mouth with a scarf. You can find more information here: On face coverings
This decision will impact on the Town Council’s two main facilities, The Arncliffe Centre and Hollies Hall. We would ask visitors to our centres to please abide by the government’s new guidelines for the safety of everyone.

Halewood Town Council is pleased to be partnering with a new community organisation, ‘Halewood Uni-Wise’. After a strong and successful campaign to promote the need for donations, the group will commence distribution this coming Saturday August 8th at The Arncliffe Centre.
Here is a message from the group’s Facebook Page (where you can also give them a follow). Please share this message, especially with families/friends who might benefit from this excellent initiative:

Following representations from several parties, the council has reviewed its decision to merely ‘livestream’ the Town Council meeting scheduled for Thursday August 6th. As the meeting will take place via Zoom, the public may request the access code for their attendance by writing to the Town Manager. Hollies Play Area Closed
The Council has taken the decision to close the Hollies Play Area until the week commencing August 3rd. After it reopened on July 6th there were, sadly, a number of instances of anti-social behaviour and threats made to the personnel trying to close the Play Area. Because of this behaviour, the person undertaking the task of closing the site resigned from their role with immediate effect leaving the council with the difficult decision of temporarily closing this provision.
The Play Area will reopen from the week commencing Monday August 3rd when the council will have personnel available to complete the task of opening and closing the site.
Town Council Play Areas – Open from July 4th
In line with government guidance, we are pleased to announce that outdoor children’s play areas will be open from July 4th. This includes the Town Council play areas across Halewood. The enclosed playground on Hollies Road will reopen from 9.00 a.m. on Monday July 6th until 5.00 p.m. This will be its operating times throughout the month of July.
Residents are still advised to practice appropriate Social Distancing with the use of play equipment.
Postponement of Town Council Meeting
The Halewood Town council meeting scheduled for Thursday July 9th is postponed. This meeting will now take place on Thursday July 23rd at 7.00 p.m.
