October Half Term Club
Our Half Term Club was enjoyed by over 30 Children this week, Our Children enjoyed Pumpkin Carving, Card Making, Duck Apple, games and we finished the week off with a Halloween Party. Activities were enjoyed by all.

Temporary Road Closure – Speke Road A562 Westbound
Temporary Road Closure
In order to facilitate emergency barrier repair works, an overnight road closure will be in place on Speke Road A562 westbound exit slip to Newstead Farm Interchange, for its entire length, from 8pm Wednesday 23rd October 2024 to 5.30am Thursday 24th October 2024.
The diversion route associated with this closure will be via;
Speke Road (Westbound), Speke Road, Higher Road, Baileys Lane, Knowsley Expressway.

Scam Website
We have been made aware of a scam website set up in the name of Halewood Town Council by Parish UK.
They do this through the creation of what could be construed as official town and parish council websites, which includes information relating to the council, education, business, planning, property, heritage and farming. Spam emails are then being sent to businesses purporting to come directly from these town and parish councils enquiring about business listings alongside requests for payment.

Spark Drummers – Moment of Lights Performance
International street theatre performers Spark! drummers return to Knowsley for a rescheduled performance in Halewood Triangle Park on Sunday 20 October.
Spark! performed across Knowsley’s town centres at the start of the year to launch Knowsley’s 50th anniversary year. Sadly, an amber weather warning meant that the Halewood performance had to be rescheduled. The performance promises to be a live music and movement spectacular!
The free family-friendly performance will take place at Halewood Triangle Park on Sunday 20 October from 5.30pm. Specific timings for the event and further information will be shared closer to the date.
Please note that there will be no parking at Halewood Triangle Park on the evening of the event, so we ask that spectators attend on foot or by public transport. There will be very limited disability parking on site. Further details will be shared on culture Knowsley’s website and social media.
Action for Happiness – Optimistic October
Tomorrow sees the start of October, a time when the weather changes to cold and wet and the days get shorter. This can be a time of struggle for some.
But it is also a great chance to start a month of positivity and the Action for Happiness chart is a great way to start.

ReCITE Health research project
This course is part of a wider public health research project called ReCITE, led by the Liverpool School of Tropical Medicine.
These 6-week workshops provide a safe space for individuals to explore and share their healthcare experiences through storytelling, with professional guidance from writers Louise Fazackerley and Claire Beerjeraz. Participants will develop their stories, which may be transformed into multimedia outputs and shared amongst local communities, health practitioners and policy makers, designed to highlight issues and inspire positive change.
Participants will be financially compensated for their time commitment and the usage of their stories in this research project.
We are looking for people who:
– are over 18
– live in Knowsley
– have lived experience of barriers to accessing healthcare
