As a consequence of this years Town Council elections and Monday 6th May being a Public Holiday, in order to provide the legally required notice, it is necessary to change the date of the Annual Meeting of the Town Council and the Annual Town Meeting.
Both meetings will now take place on
THURSDAY 16TH MAY 2019, at 7:00 pm and 7:30 pm respectively.

Planning is well advanced for this years Halewood CultureFest, when once again there’s a packed programme of cultural activities, the majority of which are free, and are designed to suit all tastes.
This years CultureFest runs from Friday 14th to Sunday 23rd June and details of the programme are shown HERE
Following consideration by the Town Council of the Knowsley MBC Master Plan for the proposed Sustainable Urban Extension East of Halewood, the Town Council’s ‘corporate’ response has now been submitted to KMBC.

The Town Council currently has a vacancy for a Support Officer, working 35 hrs a week on a flexible basis throughout.

Following the current Town Manager’s announcement if his intended retirement at the end of June, the Town Council is seeking to recruit a proactive, enthusiastic and forward thinking individual to take on this leading role, including undertaking the legal responsibilities of Proper Officer and Responsible Financial Officer.

Members of the Town Council are acutely aware of the financial pressures facing Halewood residents.
However, due to the ongoing funding cuts imposed by Central Government and Town Council Members commitment to maintaining and improving its services to the community, Members of Town Council reluctantly, have approved an increase the precept in 2019/20 of 9.5%.
