The election saw 9 new elected members join the council (Cllrs Bradley, Finneran, Flute, Hamilton, Lunt, Arnold, L. Berry, V. Berry and A. Harvey), with 3 members retaining their seats (Cllrs Rose, Dunn and J. Harvey).
The political make-up of the council is as follows:
Labour Party – 7 Town Councillors
Independents – 5 Town Councillors
Residents should note that the Independent Elected Members on the council have advised the Town Clerk that they will not caucus as a political group, they will instead serve as single, Independent Councillors.
