Support to School Uniform Costs and SNAP 2019
Are you a parent/family struggling with the costs of school uniforms? Help may be at hand via a scheme open to lower income families funded by Halewood Town Council.
The strain on family household income during the 6-week summer holidays was discussed at length in the most recent Halewood Town Council meeting last Thursday (June 27th). Speaking in support of the Town Council plans to offer support to families, Cllr. Allan Harvey reminded the meeting of the long-standing support it has offered to address ‘Holiday Hunger’ and the cost of school uniforms. The scheme was supported by ALL Halewood Town Councillors, who also endorsed a programme of ‘SNAP’ activities (Sport-Nutrition-Active Play) running every Tuesday from August 6th at The Arncliffe Centre and every Thursday from August 8th at The Hollies.
For more information about accessing support with the costs of school uniforms, please contact the main office at your local Halewood Primary School.
