Halewood Community Hub – November 2020
Halewood Town Council has re-established a ‘Community Hub’ at the Arncliffe Centre.
As the council has ceased activities due to the new government lockdown, it has refocussed its resources to serve the needs of the Halewood Community. The hub will act as a link to Halewood residents for emergency food support and as a link for partners and community organisations offering support to local people. This includes the Knowsley Foodbank and the Knowsley MBC Covid-19 Support Team.
The hub will initially be open Monday-Friday. Residents can make donations in-person from 10.00am – 3.00pm (but please follow the usual Covid-19 safety guidelines). To kickstart the emergency food hub, the council has donated £500.00 to put together food boxes for distribution. In time, this will be enhanced through donations, new funding and links with the Foodbank. A reminder that Knowsley Foodbank continues to run a Halewood distribution point at the St. Mary’s Centre on Leathers Lane every Saturday from 10.00am-12.00.
For more information on support through Halewood Town Council please call us on 428-1929.
